New York Post reports Duluth trading Post
Duluth, Minnesota — (AP) The Duluth News Tribune is reporting a deal has been completed for a sports newsroom in Duluth that will allow for the publication of national sports coverage.
The newspaper says the Post has purchased the Post Sports Group for $500 million, which includes its parent company, the Tribune Co. The newspaper reported on Thursday that the deal was made public by the New York Stock Exchange.
The New York Times has long been a strong sports media presence, but has been looking to expand beyond sports in recent years.
