How India is tracking every trade post in India
India has started tracking every post and trading post in the country, as it seeks to combat fake and stolen goods.
In a major move, the Indian government on Wednesday launched the National Tracking and Detection System (NTD) to track every post in its borders and track its movements on its smart phones.
The system will allow the government to track any parcel, courier, courier and other goods that enter or leave India at any point in time, in real time.
The new system is the latest in a series of initiatives undertaken by the Modi government to crack down on fake and lost goods.
The government has already initiated an electronic tracking system in a few major cities, and this will continue in other parts of the country.
According to an official statement, the government has taken steps to identify and track the movements of all the goods that entered and exited the country and tracked their movements.
“This will enable the government authorities to identify any suspicious or fake goods and recover the lost goods,” the statement said.
A special team of the central government is now working to monitor every parcel sent to and from India, it added.
