Taos, New Mexico, is a popular location for campers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

There’s a beautiful, untouched stretch of the Tawny Creek Trail, which leads down to the Red Ridge Mountains, and many beautiful camping spots.

Teton National Forest and its region are also great for backcountry activities, such as hiking, camping, or fishing.
